Attitude Holland since 1999

Attitude Holland is a mail order firm, specializing in alternative life-style clothing and pop/band merchandise, inspired by the ever growing punk-rock-skate-gothic-metal-industrial-cult music scenes of today.

We have a wide selection of various brands, including other items like make-up (not tested on animals off course), accessories, (hand)bags, shoes, lingerie and underwear, babyshirts, sunglasses, you name it; we've got it.

Somewhere in Thailand on the beach in 1998 during our round-the-world year trip, Bec and I came up with the idea to found Attitude Holland. Bec's brother is the owner of Attitude Clothing UK, which has been serving the British alternative music clothing market since 1987, so we thought it would be a great idea to do the same in the Netherlands.

When we got back in the Netherlands from our trip, we had to start from scratch; I quickly got a well-paid job in Amsterdam, and a house in Edam. That's were we started, in our living room, and in 2001 we made the choice (and took the risk) to resign our jobs and devote ourselves to Attitude Holland completely. Without a steady income and a car (but with a lot of passion for Attitude Holland) we brought your orders to the post office every day, on our bicycles, through bad or good weather. Our bedroom had turned into a storage room, our house was getting too small for our growing company. Luckily one of our friends owned an old cheese warehouse that we could use. We hired our first member of staff, named Kees, who still works at Attitude Holland today. With a lot of thanks to your tips, advice, suggestions and help we were able to let Attitude Holland grow, and in 2005 we could move the company to a beautiful building in Edam.

With over 80.000 customers we are very proud that we made the choice to start Attitude Holland, somewhere on that beach in Thailand in 1998.
