How do you use your alternative style, hair dye, or makeup to express your authentic self?
The style, makeup and very intentional wardrobe choices serve as means to express the woman I always dreamt to be when I was a teenager. All these choices make me able to show my inner self, without saying a single word. With elements like studded belts or platform boots, I feel like I claim my space in this mostly conventional world. It turns my femininity into something bold and visible, the authentic ME.

Coming out later in life as a trans woman has been the best decision I have ever made. For the longest time I have been hiding, and denying myself I could ever live my life as a woman. While it certainly isn't the easiest thing, living my life as my true, authentic self makes all the challenges worth it. It's never too late to claim your space. No matter which color of the pride flag represents your identity, everyone deserves to live authentically!
