Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
I am wearing Manic Panic Blue Steel. I had been wanting blue hair for years, but never had the courage up until recently. I dyed it a pastel blue, which I loved but it faded very quickly unfortunately.
How does this hair colour make you feel?
It makes me feel confident and happy.
How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
This was the first time I dyed my hair, so it was my natural hair colour: brown.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
I have only used one brand so far: Manic Panic. I will probably be sticking to it, because the colours turned out beautifully and my hair is still healthy. Furthermore, I like the fact that it's vegan and cruelty-free.
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
It might be an obvious one, but if dying your hair grey, make sure to wash and condition it with purple shampoo! It keeps your hair from turning yellow. I also try to only wash my hair twice a week, which makes the colour last a lot longer. And with this pastel (which already fades relatively quickly) it helped that I washed my hair with cold water.
