Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
Apple Green by Directions because it has been my signature haircolour for about 5 years now.
How does this hair colour make you feel?
l originally dyed my hair green because l have an obsession with greenskinz like orcs and goblins, but since then l've branded out to pirates and found that it also sort of looks like seewead which is bloody awesome.
How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
oof that's a long time ago... lf l recall correctly when l first started dyeing my hair was short enough to stand up on it's own without any product, and l had a different dye in which l can't remember but it was more of a blueish green, which l didn't really like, and would just fully disappear in a week, so l'm glad l found a jar of the lovely applesauce.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
Directions, and particularly Apple Green because it has this gorgeous colour, even when slightly washed out, and the pigment is actually strong enough that it lasts me at least two weeks of green even if l don't maintain it all too properly.
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
If you want your hair to be green for a longer period of time, let's say a lifetime, without having to worry about re-dyeing too much, try to avoid too much moisture and sunlight, use dry-shampoo instead of regular, and if it's raining or very sunny, wear a cool hat! That should increase your mileage to about one re-dyeing per 2 months.
