INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Grimas Water Make-up (Pure) is an unperfumed, gluten-free water-based make-up designed for face and body painting.
Water Make-up works just like watercolours. The colours can be mixed with one another.

"Pure" means that the product contains no chemical preservatives (such as parabens) or halogenated organic compounds.

Method of application
Water Make-up (Pure) can be applied directly to the skin, but you can also apply a base layer of Grimas Cake Make-up first. This offers the advantage of making the Water Make-up (Pure) colours easier to apply evenly and more vibrant, while also making them easier to remove later. Cake Make-up dries quickly and does not blend with the Water Make-up (Pure).
When using Water Make-up (Pure), it is important to apply it to skin that is not too oily. This ensures better adhesion to the skin and a longer-lasting result. Water Make-up works just like watercolours. Use a brush or make-up sponge and some water to create a creamy consistency on the surface of the colour. Avoid working too dry or too wet. Water Make-up (Pure) dries within 15 seconds.

If you do not want the colours to blend together, wait until the first layer of colour is dry before applying another colour over or next to it.
Change the water used to rinse your brushes regularly; ideally, use two containers of water: one for light shades and one for dark shades.

Water Make-up (Pure) can also be applied to hair, provided the hair has not been chemically treated (permed, dyed, bleached, or coloured with henna). Use a toothbrush for this.

Removal
You can gently wash the skin with lukewarm water and soap (or shampoo) to remove a large portion of the makeup. Massage it in briefly and rinse with lukewarm water. Excessive scrubbing with water and soap or shampoo can irritate the skin.
You can further cleanse the skin using a cleansing milk or cleansing cream if desired. Massage it in briefly and wipe off with a soft tissue.
Do not use standard makeup remover, as it contains waxes and oils that actually cause water-based makeup to adhere to the skin.
Do not use ready-made cleansing wipes.
If any color residue remains on the skin, you can remove it with Grimas Cleansing Lotion. If the skin feels dry after cleansing, you can apply a moisturizing cream.
Hair colored with Water Make-up (Pure) can be cleaned with shampoo.
If water-based makeup gets on clothing, rinse it out under the tap. Then, soak the garment in a solution containing a pre-wash detergent (such as Biotex). Finally, wash it by hand or in the washing machine.

Cleaning up materials
Rinse the water-based makeup if necessary and pat it dry with clean tissues. Allow the makeup to air dry and replace the lid only once the makeup is completely dry. Store in a cool, dry place until the next use.
The sponges are disposable, so you can throw them away after use. If you wish to reuse them, wash them under the tap with some soap or shampoo, or wash them in the washing machine (inside a laundry bag or pillowcase) at a minimum temperature of 60°C. You can clean brushes with soap and water or shampoo. After washing, reshape the damp bristles with your hands. Let the brushes dry lying flat on a towel; do not stand them upright while drying, as moisture could seep into the handle.
